Alta Orsa Tasting Experience

There’s no traditional tasting room here. No bar, no script.

At Alta Orsa, you’ll taste at a table beneath our cork tree, overlooking the vineyard and valley. It’s quiet, open, and shaped by the rhythms of a working farm.

5 minutes from Hopland, our mountain estate is reached by a winding dirt road. The drive is part of the experience, and the reward is a slower, more grounded kind of wine tasting.

For $25 per person, your visit includes a walk through the vineyard, a look inside the winery, and a tasting of five or more estate wines. Each experience lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours.

We farm using organic and regenerative practices, crafting wines that reflect this place. Our Cabernet Sauvignon has been recognized as a finalist in the 1976 Judgment of Paris Redo and a repeat winner at Taste of Mendocino.

If you’re looking for a more conventional Hopland wine tasting, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re after something quieter and off the beaten path, we’d be glad to host you.

One tasting fee is waived with every three bottles purchased.
